Hip Hop Unite Online Open European Championships 2021
We are excited to offer an Online Open European Championships! Hip Hop Unite Online Open European Championships 2021 is an online dance competition, where we seek to inspire dancers in this uncertain time.
We invite the European dance community (and HHU world members) to join the HHU Event to connect, create and compete at international level. Dancers from all Hip Hop backgrounds may enter to represent their country on the stage, to experience, compete and reach the highest rankings of the HHU Champions 2021.
We are working with industry leaders to produce an online competition that provides real value in these extraordinary times. We are bringing international judges and workshops to the show, and this will be a journey you will not want to miss.
COVID-19 GUIDANCE
The health and safety of our participants, dancers, staff and the wider community is our primary concern and we are monitoring the situation day-by-day as it evolves. The information for members in each country may vary and we ask that you please check the restrictions and regulations that apply to you, before you join our event. We request all HHU members and Non-members to comply with their Government’s regulations and guidance. The restrictions and guidance are changing rapidly and we recommend that you regularly check your Government’s website and with your local public health department for advice.

Euro 25 per routine (regardless of the number of dancers in the routine)

Registrations might be Limited. Registration cut-off is June 1st or when we sell out
COMPETITION INCLUDES
Livestream to a huge dance audience across the globe - International judge panel - Competition will be broadcast June 19th and is FREE to watch.
ROUTINE
Routines need to be pre-qualified for HHU country members. For non-members the competition is open to any crews.
NON-MEMBERS
For non-members, countries/crews are invited to send their Videos, but Judges will selected the best qualified to enter the semi-final
PRIZE MONEY
Prize Money for all Gold Winners of each division
RULES AND DETAILS
This competition will be in the crew categories only; small crews (5-9 dancers) and mega crews (11-25 dancers).
HOW IT WORKS
HHU Members
HHU Members: Those wishing to participate in the competition should qualify via HHU country member, who then will fill in an application for participation and send all videos of the performances. 5 Crews in each division can be qualified. HHU Members who are not based in Europe are also invited to participate as this event is an Open Event (Morocco, South Africa, China, New Zealand, Trinidad & Tobago)
Non-Members
Non HHU Members in Europe: Those wishing to participate in the competition should fill in an application for participation and send videos of their performances. European Countries who are not a member of Hip Hop Unite are invited to participate to joint this HHU Online Championships. The best qualified for Non HHU Members in Europe will be selected depending on the number of videos received.

Scoring
Your entry will then be scored by 5 international qualified HHU Judges.

SIGN UP, SUBMISSION & VIDEO SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Submissions
All submissions must be made using the form link found above. You will be uploading your submission video at the same time as your information. Crews are responsible for including their music with their video submission.
Submissions Labelling
When submitting, please label your video file with your name for clear identification, such as: Cadet_UNITY_Germany.mp4 (name of category_Crew Name_Country)
Video Format
Please submit your video in as high quality as possible, in MP4, MOV, AVI, or WMV formats.
Time Limits & Restrictions
Any video or performance that exceeds the time limits will be manually faded or disqualified. We will NOT be accepting video submissions through other file sharing services or social media.
Video Submission instructions
All video submissions must be of a routine that was performed in 2021 and with the guidelines mentioned above. -- Time Limits: Small crews 1.55-2.05 minutes – Mega crews 2.25-2.35 minutes. -- Please make sure submission videos do not have long intros or outros. The ENTIRE video length should not exceed 5 seconds more than the Time Limit. -- Minimum framerate is 25fps (stream will be 25fps so ther’s no advantage in sinding higher framerates) -- No overlays are allowed (example: text, logos, graphics)
ONLINE COMPETITION VIDEO PARAMETERS & CONDITIONS

DancefloorDancefloor must be marked by the tape taped on the floor - 10x10 meters

BackgroundA white or light background is recommened due to light absorption, if possible.

LightNatural or white light from the top is necessary, extra lights from front is highly recomended but not required. Lights with extra coloring are not allowed

Camera PositionCamera or smartphone must stand on a tripod in the middle of the floor at a height of 1,20 meters, so that all group of dancers can still be seen, which means all heads and all feet all the time , usually it means approximately 3meters from the frontline minimum – depends on the device used

Not allowedFish eye camera, optical or digital zoom is not allowed

Video SolutionsVideo must be sent in HD 1920x1080 (1080p) or more

Cuts & EffectsNo cuts or extra effects in video allowed ( blurr, tremble, dissolve), no extra coloring allowed

MusicMusic should be added to the video in post-production if possible to avoid unwanted delays of music on recording and to ensure high quality sound
